Will Syndicated Content bring me clients?
Yes! More than having a “stale” Blog that is not updated, one that is unappealing to your prospective and current clients or one that is inappropriate.
Additionally, all law Blogs need to be marketed. My opinion is that certain Blogs (like family law blogs) need to be marketed offline as well as online. There are many no cost and low cost ways to effectively market a good family law Blog. That’s why all of our clients receive monthly Blog marketing updates.
Do I have to or should I have free consultations to make this work?
NO! With the possible exception of a plaintiff personal injury practice, we do not believe in free consultations. Marketing is not just about more clients, it’s about attracting better clients. If a prospective client cannot or will not pay a fee to meet with you, what are the odds that he or she would be a good client?
I can write my own Blog posts, why do I need you?
Most lawyers who hire me want to improve in their practices. Often they want more time to practice law, more personal time or they want new and better clients.
It typically takes a legal Blogger a minimum of 3 to 5 hours to select topics, write, edit, get links and select photos for one month’s worth of weekly Blog posts. Add additional time (1 to 2 hours each month) to actually publish your posts on your Blog.
Over 80% of the more than 100 family law Blogs I reviewed posted less frequently then once per week. Your time practicing law is far more valuable than time spent Blogging! Now there is a profitable professional alternative.
Won’t your content communicate your voice instead of mine?
Great question. Our content is written to consistently present a voice that is professional, knowledgeable, communicates in plain English (not legalese), approachable, invitational, good natured & at times even friendly. I would hope that you possess most or all of these characteristics.
When possible, you should use your voice in your Blog. That’s why we encourage you to post your own content in addition to ours.
As stated in Blog Marketing Mistakes “…your Blog should reflect positive professional attributes which you possess.”
Do I have to use any specific Blog platform/publisher?
No, We have experience with many. Our favorites are Movable Type & Typepad. As long as your platform is accessible and functions in plain English (as opposed to HTML or ???) we will be happy to accommodate you.
Exactly what is "Syndicated Content"?
Syndicated content is created to be shared by subscribers to make it more cost effective. We offer syndicated content to you for only $197/month.
We also offer exclusive, custom content. Click HERE for an example.
You and your clients already benefit from syndicated content everyday in weather reports, traffic and news. The Associated Press (AP) serves over 1700 newspapers and 5000 radio & Television stations daily and has been providing syndicated content since 1846 (Yes, 1846). Today most news on the internet comes directly and indirectly from AP.
Are you a lawyer?
No. I am a full time law firm marketing consultant. I have been coaching attorneys in marketing their practices for just over 20 years. Virtually all of my legal clients have been solos or small firms (under 25 attorneys). I have worked in every area of law except criminal defense. You may learn more about me, my philosophies & concepts by visiting www.LawMarketingMistakes.com.
Can I suggest topics?
Sure, I welcome suggestions from my clients.
Can I post my own material in addition to the Content from you?
Frankly, I highly recommend it! As long as your Blog posts are appropriate, well written and 200 to 300 words, there is no reason why they would not further enhance your Blog. Remember to include an appropriate photo in your post. There are many sources of free photos available. Just ask.
Can you update the design of my website or Blog?
No. We have resources to recommend. Justia.com and LexBlog are high end legal website and Blog designers. There are also some lower cost alternatives for those with some technical skills and/or smaller budgets. Feel free to call me at 702-562-2269 to discuss. You may also email me.
